Visit The QUILTER'S CABIN Tomball Texas A quilters retreat KV Quilters is full-service quilt shop with a warm welcoming atmosphere. Owner Kathy Ryan has created a place for quilters to learn and share their craft in an atmosphere of old time Texas hospitality. Customers are invited to "Sit and Sew" on a project of their choice Thursdays and any other time the classrooms are not in use. Local groups may use the facility for their Bee Meetings or to work on a group project. On a typical day you might see a class of four beginners working on a Ms. Velma Nine Patch in the back classroom and three more advanced quilters working on individual projects in the front classroom. Two quilters are in the sitting area looking at our collection of books and magazines  and planning their next project while they enjoy a glass of iced tea and a homemade cookie. As customers come in to look at fabric and notions they check to see what is happening in the classrooms. You will hear "Ooh's and Aah's" as they admire the results. A customer may stop in with a completed top to be quilted. Kathy will spread the top out on the quilt machine so everyone can admire it before it is carefully folded and added to the quilting queue. KV welcomes beginners. The only requirement to start learning to make quilts is to have the desire. Tuesday is set aside for beginners with classes at 10:00 and 5:00. You may start on any Tuesday and instruction is individualized so that each person works at his or her own pace. Classes are offered on Saturdays and during the week. KV also offers "Custom Classes". We know that our customers are busy people with hectic schedules so we will schedule a class at a time and date of your choice, if you have a minimum of three people who will register for the class. This is a fun way to get together with friends for a day, morning, afternoon or evening of sewing. Think about a baby or wedding shower where each attendee completes a simple quilt block that can be used in a quilt for the honoree. We can accommodate up to 12 sewers in our classrooms and will even prepare packets for your groups with pre-cut blocks and instructions. You will love the KV Quilters experience.
